Frank and I got engaged; we started planning a wedding.
But the simple fact is that an obscene amount of money is spent on weddings each year. More than $100 billion every year in America. The average wedding costs more than $30,000, that could build six wells and bring 3000 people clean water. We take clean water for granted here, turning on the shower five minutes before we get in to let it "warm up" while gallons get wasted down the drain. For those same gallons of water, children walk miles everyday instead of going to school.
We are still having a wedding, but much smalller than what would be expected these days. Instead of towels, and pretty vases we're raising money for clean drinking water.

Our wedding mission? We want to build a clean water well through our chosen charity: charitywater.org and make a lasting impact in the lives of 250 people. We're raising $5,000 to do so, and every cent you give will go directly towards our wedding well.

Our wedding is on June 12, 2010. Instead of dishes, furniture and tablecloths, we're asking our friends to give people in developing nations years of water. Our end date to reach this goal is July 27th.

We're blessed to have such great friends and family. We cant wait to spend our lives together. We'd like to celebrate the future by funding a well and helping a community get life's most precious need.
