We so often take clean water, and its absolute necessity for granted. We need it to drink and to cook with. We wash our dishes, our clothes, and our bodies with it. We use gallons upon gallons of it every single day.
Imagine having to walk four or more hours each day for dirty water, and then having to decide whether you will use it to cook food for your family, wash your children, or clean your family's clothing. There is not enough to do all of these things.

It is a devastating truth that clean water is a luxury in many places around the world, and that many people around the world don’t have that luxury.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
