Having access to clean water is something we often take for granted. For most of us, clean water is just a turn of the faucet away.
As golfers we are also blessed with access to an abundance of water that's used to keep our golf courses beautiful. Did you know that a typical golf course requires 100,000 to 1,000,000 gallons of water per week in summer to maintain healthy vegetation?
There's simply no denying how fortunate we are to live in a region where clean water is so entirely abundant.
But many people around the world are not so lucky. Sadly, every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world.
Our team at Golficity is committed to giving back this holiday season and we're looking for your help to meet our fundraising goal.
Please know that 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Golficity, LLC has partially funded 1 project.
