Guess what: It's almost my birthday! For those of you who have chatted with me lately, you know I'm on a mission to become a better version of myself. That includes working on both my physical and spiritual health, being more fearless and following my passions, and (biggest of all!) living life less about myself and more about others.

Part of this mission of mine has included big changes - like leaving my current job to move on to a company dedicated to serving others - and simpler tasks like going to church more, eating healthier, working out more and... giving up my birthday.

This year, in lieu of birthday gifts (or drinks), I'm raising money for charity: water, a nonprofit organization that provides clean and safe drinking water to families and villages in developing nations.

Many people around the world don’t know what it's like to have clean water. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But, with help from us, it doesn’t have to be that way.

Please donate to my campaign. I'm asking $26 in honor of my birthday, but anything you can give is much appreciated! By achieving our goal of $260 by Aug. 12, eight people will be blessed with clean drinking water - that's one more person than the size of my massive family, by the way!

Please note, charity: water will use 100 percent of the money to build clean water projects. When they’re done, the organization will then send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
