My birthday is right around the corner, and if you know me at all, I don't typically celebrate, much less make it known. However, this year, through a combination of boredom, fate, and a good choice of friends, I came across charity:water's website, and I've waited since to start my own campaign this month.
It just so happens that this month the organization is concentrating on bringing clean water to impoverished villages in INDIA! Many of our families and friends make relatively frequent trips to India, so we are all well aware of the poor state of India's public water supply. Finding this organization and knowing that they are focused on India, makes me all the more confident that this year, I can make a difference for my birthday.
My goal is $10,000 right now, which, by this website's estimate, will bring 222 people a permanent source of clean water. This is why I hope this goes way beyond 10k, and we can maximize the impact of this campaign!
