How much water do you use in a day?
If you kept track it may surprise you. In fact, the average American uses 69.3 gallons of water each day.
Contrast that with the 1.8 billion people who do not have a water source near home, many of them walking over a mile every day to gain access to clean water. These people use on average 4-5 gallons of water a day. In fact, 400 million people in the world (just under the population of the U.S.) don't have access to clean drinking water at all.
Up to 80% of all diseases are caused by poor drinking water, and many experts agree that the #1 way to improve the overall health of nations in poverty is provide access to clean water.
This is where Charity : Water comes in.
$5000 is all it takes to create a new well for at least 250 people. This gives them years of access to clean water.
To put it in perspective:
a $20 donation gives one person clean water for 20 years.
In other words, every single dollar gives 12 people the simple gift of water for an entire month.

Ignite Church is pleased to partner with Charity : Water in order to impact the world by providing the most basic of needs to as many people as possible. Our current goal is $5000, enough to build one well, but we pray that God will allow for many more wells to be built from the generous hearts of those at Ignite.
