For two birthdays now I've invited people to help me raise money for Charity: Water, which is about as fine a charity as you can find these days. This year I'm asking again.
Drinking water access isn't just about basic hydration. It helps to ensure health, safety, freedom, and economic opportunity for communities.
No one owes me anything. Also: birthdays are overrated. But I'm going to ask for your help anyway - it seems like a good time. And if you're looking for a charity to support this year, this ain't a bad place to start. Let's raise enough money to give clean drinking water to 24 people!
If you get value from me or my writing at jameswalpole.com, I'd be really honored if you decided to contribute. If you donate $20 or more (email me if you do at james@jameswalpole.com), I'll write a short extemporaneous blog post riffing on a word/topic/question of your choosing*. I will exercise judgment about what's too personal or reprehensible - so keep it PG, y'all. Offer expires when campaign reaches its $740 goal!
