Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Here's to broken world's, and fresh starts. Good luck.
40. I hear that's a pretty big deal. It's even more surprising if you knew my childhood, and my predisposition to treat warning labels as idea ice breakers. My life has taken many twists and turns over the last 40 years, on July 17th. I am hopeful I have built enough relationships, and have invested in enough people to make this birthday wish a reality. This morning Scott Harrison, the founder and CEO of charity water spoke at my church - and it wrecked my world. For my mid-life crisis I would like to build a well, and I need your help. It costs $10,000.00 to build a well. I figured for my 40th birthday I could ask you to consider giving $40.00 towards my birthday wish. If I had 250 people do this, we could build a well. I am not sure if I have 250 friends, and I also want to put my wallet where my mouth is and donate the first $1,000.00. Would you consider joining me? Let's do this! Let's make a difference.
