My personal mission in life is "to have a positive impact on the lives of others through giving and growing". I feel pretty good about my progress most of the time. But often there are some lingering feelings that I should be doing more. I quickly make excuses that typically have something to do with time or capacity (either not enough of it or not at this stage of life).

The thing is...I hate excuses (and the use of the word fair, but that's for another time).

Between a book started on vacation and a series at church, I am starting to see that capacity is what you make of it. Actually, it is what God makes of it. (by the way, he measures differently than us and needs much less than we think to make a big impact).

So, that's why I've set up this fundraiser. It took me less than 2 minutes plus some word-smithing time we won't count. Also, when you hear the founder speak the week leading up to your 40th birthday, it is hard to make excuses and not feel like a complete hypocrite.

Here's the deal. The goal is to have people donate my age, but that's a lot to ask (and no I'm not bothered by turning 40). Therefore, give what you feel like giving and let's see how many lives we can impact by providing clean water. If we hit $1200 goal we help 40 people. It's that simple (and yes you can write it off).
