A huge thank you to you for checking out my birthday fundraising campaign (21 woooot!)
It will bring me great joy if you can donate literally any amount you can manage.
I decided to celebrate my birthday by raising money for clean water. Last year I was blessed with the opportunity to donate 28 pairs of shoes (Over a typical classroom size) to underprivileged children in Africa. (Check out the banner at the top of my campaign to see some of their smiling faces!) Over 844 million people in the world don't have clean water and 289,000 children under the age of 5 die each year due to diarrhoeal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation- that is 1 child, every 2 minutes...
So earlier this year when I heard about charity: water I was instantly a fan after seeing the impact we can make. They bring clean water to people around the world who otherwise might be drinking water that is polluted beyond what most people can imagine. There's no gift in the world as meaningful or everlasting as life and happiness. Water brings life, parties bring happiness and I want to have it all so it was a no-brainer.
$21 (for 21 years) will get one person clean water for 7 years. That is an incredible impact we can make for the same amount of money people spend on earphones or a dinner.
My goal is to raise $900 and help 30 individuals get access to clean water. (Beating last year's goal of 28 children)
If you can help me get there, it would be the best birthday I can possibly imagine.
100% of the money will be used to fund clean water projects.
To see exactly where the money goes and who it helps, you'll receive a GPS location and photos of the exact projects.
Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday like never before! God Bless.
