Dearest family and friends,

Thank you for joining us in celebrating Lila's first year! We are not asking for any gifts, however, if you feel compelled, we are asking for donations in any denomination of $18. Since the number 18 has great significance in the Jewish faith, our goal is to raise $550 in honor of Lila's first birthday, to provide 18 people with clean, drinkable water. 100% of all donations made go towards providing clean water (nothing goes towards company overhead).

We would like to make this a yearly campaign (occurring every year on Lila's birthday) because we would like Lila to grow up with a sense of duty and responsibility for giving back and helping others less fortunate.

"Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
