If I'm going to ask you to donate money, I'd better make the extra effort and write a personal explanation as to why I chose to represent charity: water for my birthday. So here it is:

charity: water is a cause that's close to my heart, and should be in every single one of our lives. We use water, and a lot of it, for literally everything - quenching thirst, showering, cooking, laundry, and washing dishes, fruits and vegetables.

For almost all of us, access to water comes guaranteed. Frankly speaking, if everyone has the right to live, then everyone has the right to water. But for someone, it's a complete scarcity. You can take us to a big, efficient step towards bringing clean water into that person's life.

"Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
