I have always felt a connection to water--swimming when I was a kid, having a dad and grandfather in the Coast Guard, rowing on crew in college, swimming open water swims in triathlons. Family that lives on a lake. I love water. Unfortunately so many people around the world do not have access to clean water. This year for my birthday I am trying to raise $350 (since I'm turning 35) to help give clean water access to people around the world. The super awesome part of this charity... literally 100% goes DIRECTLY to clean water access. They do separate fundraising for overhead/salaries/etc. Pretty cool. That means that even your $5 or less donation REALLY matters!! Will you help celebrate my birthday by donating??

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
