Over the years I have run a lot of races over a lot of miles, and this year I’ve decided to run for a cause that I really care about; charity: water. I am dedicating my running of the Yeti 100, to raising money to provide those that don’t have access to clean water, the access that they desperately need.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of clean water to drink, we have clean water to wash our dishes and clothing, and we even have clean water to go in to our toilets. Meanwhile, every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. In Africa alone women are spending 40 billion hours a year walking for water instead of growing food, earning an income, or going to school. As a whole, a lack of clean water leads to a number of issues that perpetually hold entire communities back from progressing and prevents people from living long healthy lives.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

Just $30 gives 1 person access to clean water, and I have made it my goal to raise $3,000 to provide 100 people water. Each mile that I run will be in dedication to the work that charity: water is doing to help solve this problem.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
