My husband, Bruce, wants to donate his birthday to provide hope to people - and believe it or not, that starts with clean water! You can take away our luxuries like cars, computers, and TV's. You can even reduce our income or take away our education. But once you take away our clean water, you take away our health which takes away our energy and our ability to support our families, takes away our dignity and takes away our hope - our hope for the future and the future of our children. This is the reality for so many people around the world. And we can do something about it!

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for people that want to help - and to honor Bruce in the process!
