Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets are clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
We started this project to help Charity: Water build a well in honor of our Love. Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help! :)
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, Charity: Water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Good news! We have an update on the progress in Uganda with our LOVE CELEBRATION campaign that you so generously contributed to last December.
The projects you are helping fund are located in the districts of Bugiri and Namayingo in Eastern Uganda. About 723,000 people live there and only 42% of the population has access to clean drinking water.Thanks to your help, we’re working to change that! Our local partner, GOAL, has already completed geological and community surveying. In addition, contractors have already drilled 36 water points throughout the two districts. Over the next few months, GOAL will work with communities and contractors to complete an additional 28 water points. They will train Water Committees on water point maintenance, financial management and fee collection. At schools, health clubs will be formed that promote hand washing and safe water practices using educational games and role-playing.
As soon as projects are complete, we'll collect GPS coordinates, photos, and other details about each community to show you the impact you’ve made in Uganda.
