There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!

On June 4th, I'm turning 29 years old.

These past 6 years, I've had the help of my amazing family and friends to celebrate my birthday by raising $3,000 for clean water projects.

I am pledging my birthday again to this celebration. Every day, about 1,400 children don't live to see their 5th birthday. And why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water. However, there are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

Birthdays are usually celebrated to ring in an individualized concept of 'a new year' - a fresh start, if you will. This can be combined with an ideology of a purification factor, a cleansing. Purity is natural. We come into this world with all the right instincts. We are innocent and perceive things as they should be, rather than how they are. Our conscience is clear, our hands are clean and the world at large is truly beautiful.

So, I'm asking for $29 (or whatever you'd like to contribute) - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete with photos and GPS coordinates using Google Earth.

My goal is to raise $290 by my birthday. It's all a matter of paying attention, being awake in the present moment, and not expecting a huge payoff. The magic in this world seems to work in whispers and small kindnesses. Join the kind campaign!
