There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water. On my birthday, lets change that.
My birthday is almost here! I am about to be 20 years old and am no longer a teenager. So, I felt I could do my first real good deed as an adult, and raise money for charity: water. I recently learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. Water that I take for granted and don't drink much of. But, we can help change that.
I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
Help me reach my goal. Please donate to my birthday campaign!
So proud to be part of Jordan's journey. Happy Birthday!
What a selfless thing you're doing. This is awesome!
Jordan! This is fantastic. I'm going to take this idea for my birthday this summer. I hope it spreads! I was so touched by this. I'll support you this time, hope you do the same on my birthday, as they say, te toca a tí, me toca a mí. ;)
Happy Birthday! This is very kind of you. Well done.
