I started both my academic & professional career in clean water research and development policy. While I may not be in the field anymore, the importance of water in our world has only become greater.

Living abroad I’ve been exposed to just a fraction more than the average person to what effect a lack of access to clean water can bring. Your morning routine is changed, your entire day, or, for many, their entire livelihood is put at risk.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. I’ve first hand seen the technology and solutions that are available to provide support to communities across the world that lack natural access to water resources.

I’ve personally followed charity: water’s efforts and successes over the years as they fight day in and day out to provide communities with what most of us consider a natural human right.

Living in China for the past few years I’ve avoided large birthday celebrations or announcements. Now, for my 24th birthday on June 10th, I’d like to donate any and2 all resources that friends, family, and loved ones would care to graciously donate towards a project to bring clean water to those who don’t have it.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community, and the people, we helped.
