We are an Italo-Hungarian couple, Judit & Andrea. We would like to help people to get access to clean water through an ultra race. Judit brings the “water”, Andrea brings his feets. Let’s discover how.

The Lake Balaton, also known as the Hungarian sea, is the largest lake in Central Europe. All along its shore there is a cycling-running road. Between March 22nd and 25th runners from all over the world can try to turn around the lake. For four days, every day they run an ultra marathon, for a total of 196 km.

Andrea loves running, swimming and cycling. He already completed several marathons, but he recently felt he should go further, that’s how he discovered this ultra race.

We can’t wait to do it, but not only for us, this first time also for others. We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water give access to clean water to thousands of people around the world, and we are looking for anyone who can help us.

Please donate $ 10 to every kilometer that Andrea will make, thus we can collect $ 1960 and change the life of 56 people. If you have less or if you feel more generous, anything you can give is a huge help.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
