I'm excited to say that I'm turning 30 on June 3rd! While thinking of things I want to do for my celebration I remembered that this incredible charity lets you donate your birthday to raise money for clean water. 30 dollars is enough to get one person clean water for a month. 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
If you know me then you know I love water. I grew up near the Gulf of Mexico, was part of a waterski team through most of my youth, and drink and know way too much about different kinds of waters from all over the world. I feel a connection to water, and always have. I can't imagine not being able to swim or drink water around me.
Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. Our toilet water is cleaner than the cleanest water some people have ever had to drink.
It would mean a lot to me if you helped me reach my goal. In lieu of gifts, just donate to this campaign. I feel beyond grateful for everything in my life. Thank you all for being a part of it.
