Water is as elemental to human life as consciousness. 70% of our bodies are water, yet one BILLION people live without clean drinking water every day. We can't evolve spiritually if we can't survive physically. As The Accidental Seeker I'm passionate about spiritual evolution which is why I've decided that this year for my birthday I don't want presents or cake. I want clean water.
Since I turn 47 on October 6 I'm asking everyone for my age in donations. Give $4.70, $47 or $470 but either way, help me give life's most basic need.
Because water is so essential, this campaign is also aligned with the mission of the Accidental Seeker (my blog) which guides and supports personal growth and conscious, sustainable living. By donating, you too become an agent of conscious evolution helping to place humanity's struggle to meet our basic needs firmly in the past.
But I've got some skin in the game too. In addition to donations from all of you, I will ALSO donate $1 for each person who subscribes to the Accidental Seeker blog at http://accidentalseeker.com between my birthday and the end of 2012. So to make good on that, I've kick started this with $100 - one for every subscriber I have as of this writing.
The best part is every penny of the money raised will go *directly* to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, Charity Water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed. That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!
Please help me make this birthday truly count! Thank you.
