Being a lifeguard, I've had plenty of time to stare and think about water. And the truth is, water is such a simple thing to have that usually we go through our day without thinking about how much it really provides. It nourishes us, completes us, and gives us something to splash around in. We are SO fortunate to have the simple gift of water because not everyone does. That is why I am "giving up my birthday" and asking that anyone who is able would donate to charity water for my 20th Birthday. 100% of your donations will go towards the project in Central African Republic on September 30th. Maybe even consider giving $20 because I'm going to be 20, and that much will give one person clean water for 20 years, just what I have had. Thanks guys :)

- Women in developing countries walk and average of 3.7 miles to get water
- 1/8 people lacks access to clean water
- 3.3 million die from water-related health problems
