I turn 25 years old today. It's a good time for me to look back at the last quarter of a century and also forward to the years ahead.
One of my many goals for the future is involving myself with positive causes by becoming more charitable with my time and resources I've been lucky enough to have access to.
In that spirit, I've decided to pledge my birthday and ask for your help in donating towards projects aimed at bringing clean water to people currently without it.
It's a simple yet powerful idea, instead of presents, I ask those of you who can to donate 25 dollars to this campaign.
The organization behind this movement, charity:water, has an impressive mission and goes about achieving it in creative ways, one of which is asking those interested to pledge their birthday. Whether or not you donate, I recommend you take a minute to learn more by looking at their website.
