A wedding is a celebration of love, happiness and community. While our family and friends are fortunate enough to have access to clean drinking water, there are 663 million people, or one in ten, that lack access to clean drinking water. There are another 2.4 billion people (1 in 3) that lack access to adequate sanitation facilities.

Thankfully there are simple solutions, like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters, that help provide clean water to communities around the world. Charity:water works with communities to design a way to provide safe drinking water and sanitation facilities in a locally appropriate manner. Communities are provided with education and support regarding water and sanitation safety and maintenance to ensure projects are successful on an ongoing basis.

Charity:water has private donors who sponsor the operating costs of the organization, therefore 100% of the money we raise will be used to build clean water projects. When the projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
