Although I hate to publicly admit it, I will be celebrating my 40th birthday in August. It is a big year so rather than dwell on the age aspect or plan a party, I decided to do something a bit different.

As you are all aware, I spend much of my time raising money for various charities. Yes, I realize that the constant barraging can get tiring, but I am asking for support on just one last BIG thing. A non-profit recently caught my attention – and after researching it for weeks I became more captivated by their mission. The organization is called charity:water and their mission is to provide clean drinking water to communities all over the world. Every dollar donated (yes, I do mean 100%) goes towards the building of wells and clean water systems so people can have the basic luxuries you and I take for granted every day.

So how does this concern you? I have reached out to all of you in order to solicit help spreading my campaign. My goal is to sponsor an entire water project, and in order to do that, I need to raise $10,000 within 3 months. If you wish to contribute to my campaign I would sincerely appreciate it; however, if you can’t help out monetarily I would appreciate it if you could simply pass my campaign link on. Word of mouth goes a long way and I am looking to reach out to as many people as possible.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
