On January 31st I'm turning 36. But I like to celebrate 28.
Again.
Millions of people don't live to see their fifth birthdays. And why? Because they don't have access to clean, safe water.
As many of you may or may not know, this past year has been a tough one and I actually don't generally make a big deal about my birthday. However with how far I have come and the changes in my life I have so much to be thankful for so many wonderful people in my life that this year I want to acknowledge it. There is nothing I can think of that I could ask for. I know just how blessed I truly am.
So I decided that this year, I'm celebrating my birthday like never before.
I'm asking for $28 from everyone I know(yes it suggests $36 on this page but we can go with $28) -- and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!
My goal is to raise $2,000 by March 1st (one month after my birthday).
Please join me to make this birthday count. Thank you for being a friend in my life! I truly am grateful!
Happy 28th Birthday! I didn't know we were the same age! ;) Wish I knew you when we both went to EHS. :)
Happy Birthday Love! xoxo
Happy Birthday Lisa!
Lisa has partially funded 2 projects.
