Gaby and I both feel a responsibility and passion to serve others in need by funding the construction of wells, building schools, and feeding people.

We found this organization, Charity: Water that builds wells in a sustainable manner, empowering the people of each community with clean water.

One of the main reasons we have chosen Charity: Water is because 100% of every dollar donated goes to building the actual wells. All the operating expenses for the organization are funded by private donors, which allows all public donations to be used only for the building of wells.

Gaby and I would much rather know hundreds of people have access to clean water than receiving typical wedding gifts.

Our goal of raising $10,000 is ambitious . . . and we like it that way. $10,000 is the average cost to build a well.

After 21 months, when the well is complete, we wil be updated with pictures of the well and GPS coordinates.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and we're looking for anyone who can help us.
