Hi guys! So my birthday is coming up on March 5. Now, I know you were all dying to shower me with awesome presents this year, but I decided this year I won't be accepting gifts. Trust me, I definitely have way too much stuff. Instead, I would love it if you donated to this fundraising campaign. Since I am turning 25, I am asking for $25 donations for Charity Water.

Now, I completely understand that money is tight for a lot of you. I'm in that boat too. If $25 is too much, that's okay!

So Charity Water is really cool. 100% of the money they receive goes directly to providing clean water for folks who don't have access. That means drilling wells, protecting springs, distributing BioSand filters, and teaching people about clean water. We all face difficulties, but there's no denying the fact that we have it better here than more than half the people on the planet do. We use clean water to keep our lawns green and flush our poop down the toilet. It's kind of nuts! Helping others have access to clean water doesn't diminish our ability to have pretty yards and nice bathrooms. It lifts up others so that they can have their most basic need met.

The beneficial impacts of clean water can be really surprising too. Aside from tasting WAY better than stinky wet bacteria, it gives people time and freedom to do things they couldn't do before. It creates wealth. This means children can get an education. Families can buy food and better shelter. It creates health and saves lives. It gives people self confidence and pride. It even creates beauty. Cool, right?
