There are so many things that we are blessed with that we don't consciously realize. These blessings include - but are not limited to - the schools that we go to, the doctors that treat us, the roof over our heads, the food we consume, and lastly, the water that we drink. Personally, I am so blessed to be an Aggie, have an apartment to live in, have food on my plate, and have clean, pure water to drink, shower, brush my teeth, and play with as I do the dishes.

One of the biggest issues we still face is about water. In 2018, there were 2 Supreme Court cases about water disputes - Florida v. Georgia & Texas v. New Mexico and since 2014 Flint, Michigan has had a water crisis. In various parts of the country, there are still lawsuits and issues about water. Water Law is a thing!

Fortunately, in the 1960's the infrastructure was built in the US to provide clean water to all of us, and if the needs aren't met, we have the power to stand up and demand it, but there are many countries that haven't had this blessing. According to the CDC, "780 million people do not have access to an improved water source" and "an estimated 2.5 billion people lack access to improved sanitation." This means that there are 2.5 billion people who are drinking microorganism-infested water, which leads to so many issues.

Fortunately, the solution is available! We have the technology to solve this issue, but we just need the funding!

As a member of the Aggie Chapter, this campaign provides the funding for charity: water and their local partners to build the solution that is required for that community. They have already brought water to 9,562,163 people in 27 countries and done 35,281 projects in the last 13 years.
