Dear friends,

I write this to you choosing acceptance over anxiety, (what if no one else donates?), trust over doubt, (people won’t actually give their money for this reason), and hope over fear, (I am going to be judged negatively for this).

I don’t love using social media to communicate. I don’t love asking for help. I don’t love acknowledging that how we use our money really matters.

However, I am trying to live with less fear and more love. I know I really need to in order to be my most meaningful self, and it seems a lot of the world does too.

I have been following charity:water for a good while now, and I want to snag this opportunity to help some fellow people who need it. I encourage you to check out this cool charity, where 100% of your donation goes directly to fund clean water projects. (trust > doubt) I’m turning 19, so I’m asking for $19 donations. After giving, we can track where our money goes (they use fancy GPS and cameras and stuff!), to see the exact community that we helped bring clean water to.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
