Hi friends!

I’m so glad you’ve made it to my fundraising page! If you’re someone who’d like to give me a birthday present, I’d like you to consider donating $19 to Charity:Water instead.

This is a cool organization that builds clean water infrastructure in impoverished countries using 100% of the donations they receive! Clean water is a basic human right and is the foundation necessary to solve so many other global issues.

For example:
“Clean water helps keep kids in school, especially girls. Less time collecting water means more time in class. Clean water and proper toilets at school means teenage girls don’t have to stay home for a week out of every month.”

I have some friends who aren’t too fond of giving money to far-away development projects. If you fall into that category, please keep reading! I would love for you, instead of giving $19 to Charity:Water, to spend that money (or 19 minutes) giving back to your community or investing in a project you really believe in. Please let me know what you decide to do! Getting a collection of stories would really be the best birthday present 
