goal
There are 748 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!
If you’re like me, you don’t spend too much time thinking about water -- it’s everywhere we go. When we’re thirsty, we flip a handle or push a button. When we’re dirty, we twist a shower knob -- water is just an arm's length away.
But, in many developing countries, women and children walk for hours, up and down mountains, just to collect water that can make them really sick.
Help me play a small part in solving the water crisis -- donate to my campaign. I'll be making one quilt square for each donation made for charity:water (suggested $10 donation). After the campaign is over (ends 3/30/15) I'll post pictures of the quilt and one of the donors who helped me to $1,500 takes it home!
100% of everything we raise will directly fund water projects. And when those projects are finished, charity: water will send us proof in pictures and GPS coordinates, so we can see the actual people and communities we impacted.
Hi everyone,
An update on the 2015 Liquid Stitch project. Together we raised over $1K and that was sent to Mali!
Mali is a landlocked country with vast deserts and a long dry-season, where many people lack access to clean water and sanitation. Thanks to your help, charity:water and partners are busy working on 95 new and 31 rehabilitated drilled wells. They should be complete this winter so I'll keep you posted when the final report comes back.
Thanks again,
Marissa
