Why S Nance is fundraising for clean water

I recently had the pleasure of hearing a presentation by Scott Harrison, the founder of Charity: Water, presented at North Point Community Church.

Approximately 1 out of 10 people on our planet, nearly 700 million people, water supply is DEPLORABLE. The water they are forced to drink because there is no alternative creates over 52% of the worlds sickness from the parasites and disease ridden bacteria (e-coli, salmonella, worms) they consume.
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

The companies I've been involved in since 2005 have an expression, "Change the Classroom, Change the World" and I believe that to the depth of my soul.
But the children have to be able to get to the classroom. With the sickness resulting from the dirty water they can't even get to school. Clean water is foundational! It will have an impact on you and our world. It did me. Beth and I are going to be supporting this remarkable charity.

Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help. 100% (yes, 100%) of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

I "Pledging my Birthday". Here's information about how you can, too. https://www.charitywater.org/get-involved/pledge-birthday
