I’M DONATING MY CHRISTMAS TO CHARITY!!
I've grown in more ways than I could have ever imagined this year. I've been minimizing my physical space and other areas that needed editing, in order to make room in my life for things that are important to me. Figuring out your values and what’s important is an incredibly rewarding journey. I've discovered that CONTRIBUTION is at the top of my list! So for this holiday season, I ask that instead of ANY GIFT you might purchase for me, or for those of you social media friends who just glance at my posts once in awhile, you might consider donating a few dollars to my new focus - CHARITY: WATER. I've learned that this charity is super legit. 100% of public donations funds clean water projects. It's totally sustainable too! They work with locals to implement the projects! This is the season of GIVING so please think about giving to my charity? Even just a dollar? It would really make my heart incredibly happy!! Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
You fundraised and because of your hard work, families in Mozambique will soon have clean water to drink.
Why Mozambique?
Mozambique underwent a civil war that led to extreme poverty and severely unhealthy living conditions. In addition, floods and earthquakes exacerbate the growing water crisis. With the 22nd highest child mortality rate in the world, every year 82,000 children in Mozambique don't make it to the age of five.Recently, Mozambique has made incredible strides toward development, and providing access to clean water is a major priority.
What’s next?
Thanks to you, our partner organization, World Vision, Inc., is busy working on 76 projects. When those projects are complete, we'll collect GPS coordinates, photos, and other details about each community to show you the impact you’ve made in Mozambique.Heart. Is. Happy. xo
MPI just wanted to send a note to say thank you so much to all who gave to my cause. I only have a few days left, but I have exceeded my goal by more than 100% I know we made a difference for 34 people in this world!! 34 people who, a month ago, didn't have access to clean water, and now they will! Also this entire experience was so moving for me. I literally teared up every single time I got an email that said, "YOU HAVE A DONATION!" I have amazing people in my life, who understand me, and that is the greatest gift in the world! THANK YOU!!!
