Have you ever thought about what life would be like without clean water? No faucets. No washing machines. No showers. No toilets. While it is a hypothetical to you and me, this is a reality for millions of people today.
This crippling disadvantage is incredibly harmful. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Children have to sacrifice education in order to retrieve water many miles away (and it is not even clean water!).
But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
$10,000 builds one well to provide hundreds of people access to clean water. This means children can obtain an education. This means women can build businesses in their communities. This means humanity can prosper.
Please donate to my campaign to build one well -- anything you can give is a huge help. And to put my money where my mouth is I have started the campaign with $2,500. I will also give a shout out to Nick Salyer's campaign if you are feeling extra generous to contribute to his campaign as well (link here: https://my.charitywater.org/nick-salyers/nick-s-25th-birthday)
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Yay! Birthday!!! Christmas!!!
