Why Matthew Omerza is fundraising for clean water

Those that attend North Point or one of the satellite campuses already know this story, but for those that do not, the founder of Charity:Water recently spoke at North Point and explained that 1 in 10 people in the world do not have access to clean water.

In order to raise money to attack this issue, Charity:Water came up with a great idea for people to pledge their birthdays for the cause and instead of asking for gifts, ask for donations. To date, over 90k people have done this. As my birthday is less than 2 weeks away, I thought I would give this a shot while still fresh on everyone's mind. Therefore, in lieu of the expensive and lavish gifts you were planning on getting me, I would ask that you make a donation.

It is my understanding that once the campaign is finished that I will be provided with information on the specific projects that the money raised goes to fund which I will be sure to share with everyone. Thank you in advance as I know all together we can crush the $500 goal.
