Why Water?
663 million people in the world live without clean water. That's 1 in 10 people worldwide! Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.
Why am I pledging my birthday for clean water?
I know I am not the only one -- getting gifts I don't need, will not use any time soon, or just generally useless crafts.
This year, rather than giving me birthday presents, I would be honored to have you donate to my birthday campaign.
Any amount helps!
Simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters can help provide clean water to communities around the world.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects. Once the campaign ended, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates on the exact community we helped.
