One of the things we talked about before getting married was our desire to make an impact on others through charity. We learned about charity: water through church (goo.gl/BfVzz8), and we connected with it immediately. We drink a LOT of water, especially during our marathon training. :)

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

100% of the money we donated will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. We gave to this charity instead of spending money on an expensive wedding favor to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world. We're not asking you to donate, we just wanted to say thank you in a unique way.
