Perhaps you have heard of charity: water but I had not, until last November at a company conference. I was impressed that a charity was given access to speak at an internal meeting, but I soon understood why. 100% of donations are given to the charity, and all administrative fees are covered by specific (fairly wealthy!) individuals for that purpose alone.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

Of course many of us at the conference wanted to know what we could to do to help, and this is it. I started this fundraising campaign to help the organization build these types of projects around the world, blessed to donate to a cause that I believe is truly helping the less fortunate.
