On January 13th, 2013, i will attempt to run 26.2 miles. If all goes well it should take me about 4 hours and 30 minutes to finish. In Rwanda it takes people, mostly women and children, that long just to walk from their village to the nearest water source. A source that is most likely polluted and nearly undrinkable.
That's 4 hours and 30 minutes that could have been spent on education, work, or just being with their families. We can help make that 4 hours and 30 minutes towards a better future for everyone.
My mission is to raise $5,000 for water. I want every step to matter. 26.2 Miles to make a difference. Whatever you can donate is a step towards helping. Whether its $2.62, $26.20, or $262.00 it will help towards getting water to those who need it the most.
The best part: 100% of everything we raise will go straight to building water projects in the field. Then, when the projects are complete, charity: water will show us just where they are and who they're helping (with GPS coordinates, photos and other details). We'll be able to see the communities we've impacted.
I hope you'll join me in helping now.
Wonderful charity; have a great run.
Good luck on your run. Good cause.
Terrific charity!
