Why Morgan Fog is fundraising for clean water

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink - even the water in our toilets is clean!

663 million people around the world live without access to clean water. The majority live in isolated areas and spend hours each day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.

Waterborne illnesses kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Every day nearly 1,400 children die from poor sanitation and diseases caused by dirty water. But we can help! There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects and I'm looking for anyone who can help. With a goal of $800 we can effectively help at least 26 people gain access to clean water.

Please donate to my campaign - anything you can give is a major help.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and once they’re complete, charity: water will send photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. How neat is that! Thanks for donating!
