Every morning when I make my trek to school, I see my fellow students carrying around their water bottles. They take it everywhere they go. Every building on campus has access to water fountains. Water is given out for free everywhere you go eat. Why?

Because we can’t survive without clean water.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

The sad truth is not everyone has that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

We have every capability to bring that death count to zero. This fundraiser is a testament to my life goal to bring access to clean water to everyone in the world. Join me in my endeavors to bring these clean projects to countries around the globe.

The name of this campaign is a reference to my favorite essay, “This is Water" by David Foster Wallace. The heart of the essay reminds us that we become so numb to the norms of our life, that we forget the experiences of others.

Every donation helps with the build site, and expands the amount of people that can be served.

Privatize donors cover operation costs so 100% of the money we raise will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Let’s bring a change so that these kids, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters....humans can drink and too say “This is Water”.
