Every day, 1,400 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. Let's help change that!

In one month, that's less than 30 days - I'm going to be 30. The big fat 3-0. Is that considered middle aged? Me? *sheesh*

Considering I wont be in my 20's anymore (you can get away with SO much in your 20's) - its a scary thought. But what's even scarier is that SO many people don't get to this age, for various reasons.

I'm extremely thankful to have lived another happy year, with good health, the means to have so much and then some, to be able to travel, explore, learn, and most of all, to be surrounded by love from my husband, family and friends. Gosh have I been blessed :)

A cause that I feel most about is the fact that millions of people around the world don't have food to eat. I've also learnt that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. Living in a safe haven like Dubai, we don't see these hardships everyday but its definitely something I've been following and something that is close to my heart.

Would you help me make a difference in our own little way?

Keeping with the theme of the 30's, I'm asking for help to raise AED 3,000 from everyone I know (i.e. $815). Every Dirham raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
