Everyone who tries to buy me a birthday present, knows that I am notoriously difficult to buy for. Why? Because anything I need, I buy for myself, and anythink I REALLY want, I buy for myself. So, when it comes to gift giving time, picking for me reminds people of the nickname Dad gave me years ago, PITA. This year, I'm going to save everyone the aggravation, and ask you to help me celebrate my birthday in a different way. I would like you to make a donation to my campaign at Charity: water. This organization is truly unique. EVERY dollar you donate will go to helping to provide clean water to a village that doesn't yet have it.

Girls, especially, are impacted by the lack of clean water. They are often the ones tasked with going to the water source to bring back water for their families. Not only is this an incredibly arduous task, but it's also time consuming. When our children are in school, girls all over the world, are walking hours to fill pitchers with water! So, by donating to this campaign, you can know that you are not only helping to provide clean water to people in need, but also helping some lucky girl to spend another day in school.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
