Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Hi to all my friends and colleagues
The ride went really well and I cycled 220 miles in 3 days with the first day being 93 miles. Portugal was lovely with some sea views (only chance to swim in the Atlantic was on day 1 so focused on cycling!), hills, lakes, forests behind the long sandy beaches and quiet roads and cycle tracks. We had sun and puffy white clouds most of the time and a sprinkle of rain just when we were approaching the steepest mountain on day 3. I would definitely go again.

Update from Camp Bassindale. Thank you for your generous donation - much appreciated and very welcome.
Due to my recent illness(s) and PTO, I have done zero training for this event which starts a week Friday. This is most unusual circumstance - the last three PRA Cares rides were a bit of a breeze, to be honest. I am pleased to announce my body is fixed, my can-do attitude is firmly in place and my legs will just have to do whatever is necessary as failure is not an option!
