Hey guys! I'm having my 23rd birthday party on July 14th this year and would love it if you could all celebrate with me. This year, I have decided to pledge my birthday for a charity that is very close to my heart: Charity: Water. What this means is that instead of giving me presents, I would be really grateful if you would donate to my birthday campaign and help bring clean and safe drinking water to those who need it.

It is honestly hard to imagine living without clean water and that's because we've never had to. We also often fail to realize that having clean water is, in fact, a privilege. A privilege denied to almost a billion (yes, that's a b and not an m) people across the world.

I fell in love with Charity: Water in high school and remain deeply moved and impressed with the work that they continue to do to bring clean drinking water to those without it (learn about it here: https://www.charitywater.org/projects). In 2014, my friends and I fundraised for Charity: Water to build a well in Tigray, Ethiopia, bringing clean water to a community of 300 people, and I can't wait to see how many more lives we can change together on my birthday this year.

Charity: Water is a truly extraordinary charity that is changing the landscape of non-profit organizations. It prides itself on full transparency, 100% of the money donated through this campaign will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
