Si avvicina il mio 40-esimo compleanno (si sa, i 40 sono i nuovi 20 :)). Oltre che per festeggiare, i compleanni sono anche un buon momento per fare un'analisi e il risultato della mia è che sono fortunatissima: ho una famiglia (impegnativa ma) meravigliosa, amici sparsi in tutto il mondo (che spesso vorrei più vicini, ma che so esserci sempre <3), e un lavoro che mi piace. Davvero non ho bisogno di altro.
Ci sono invece persone nel mondo che non hanno neanche la cosa più importante per sopravvivere: acqua!
Ogni giorno, circa 1,400 bambini muoiono per problemi legati alla qualità dell'unica acqua che hanno a disposizione. Ma non deve per forza essere così! Ci sono semplici soluzioni (protezione delle sorgenti, filtri, ...) per portare acqua pulita alle comunità nel mondo che ancora non ne hanno.
Per questo motivo, ho deciso di usare il mio compleanno per raccogliere fondi per charity: water.

My 40th birthday is very close. Birthdays are always an opportunity to think a little deeper at your life. The conclusion of my analysis is that I am very lucky: I have a fantastic family, friends all over the world, and a job I like. Really, I don't need anything else!
On the contrary, unfortunately, in the world there are people who don't even have the basic thing to survive: water.
Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
For this reason, I have decide to use my birthday to fundraise for charity: water
