This year for my 32nd birthday, I want to do something a little different.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- But 663 million people around the world don't have that luxury. This is an issue that hits close to home for me, and I want to help do something about it.

I know firsthand, for eight years of my life we lived without running water. My brother and I had to walk a good distance and back to fill up buckets and jugs of water. I was just a kid, but at times we had to carry multiple jugs and buckets back and forth 2-3 times a day.

I've been fortunate to put those days behind me. But there are millions of kids all over the world who don't have that luxury, and are walking hours every day to get water for their families that isn't even clean. And every day, about 1,400 kids die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. This year for my 32nd birthday, I'm asking everyone to give $32, or whatever you can, to my charity: water campaign to help bring clean water to people around the world who need it.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects in developing countries, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
