December 5th will mark 1 month since my father's death. At the end of his life, he was very thirsty, and could never seem to quench his thirst. My family has decided that we will do our best to help provide safe and plentiful drinking water to those who need it. As a fundraiser for Charity:Water my two sons (ages 7 and 4) and I decided that we would make seed paper (recycled paper embedded with wildflower and forget-me-not seeds) and make holiday gift tags from them. The paper was made from recycled paper bags, the seeds were given to us as gifts, and together we made six sheets of paper tonight. Once the holidays are done and the tags are no longer being used, you can plant them in soil to grow wildflowers that will attract and help bee communities. This has many layers of meaning to us. I am not going to assign a price to the tags, but rather a pay-what-you-can as a donation to Charity:Water.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
